Additional Information

If you've ever dreamed of stepping on the mound late in a 1-0 game, Relief Pitcher may be your ticket to the bigs. Play a series of 12 late-inning games as one of four teams: Boston Bashers, Houston Dusters, Los Angeles Speeders or the Chicago Strokers. Your goal is to close out the game, protect the lead or rally your team to victory while at the plate. Before playing, you can select your closer's special pitch, handedness and delivery style (overhand or sidearm).

Each reliever can hurl a fastball or curve ball in addition to the special pitch, and an arcing pitch meter lets you determine the accuracy and strength of your throw. Batting involves timing the pitch as it comes toward the plate. Players can also choose a standard nine-inning game or take on a friend in either a regular game or best of seven series.

Relief Pitcher is based on the 1992 Atari coin-op of the same name and features Jack Buck performing the play-by-play.
