SNES - Civilization Box Art

Sid Meier's Civilization is a strategy game, where you start with a group of settlers, and expand the founding city into a civilization of immense proportions. Enlisting the help of scientists, advisors, and warriors, you will expand your civilization to new levels while developing new technologies, creating new cities, and waging war on hostile neighbors.
Build roads, railroads, the Seven Wonders of the World, and irrigate the land. As your population grows, you have the option of changing the form of government, trading with other civilizations, or destroying them. Featuring mind-bending scenarios, wars, floods, plagues, and pollution, Sid Meier's Civilization will keep you glued to the TV for hours on end. New maps are created each time, and you have a choice of difficulty levels, how many other civilizations, and which civilization you will be.

Literally hundreds of possible scenarios; consult your advisors and specialists; wage war against neighboring empires to expand your own; build and destroy anything and everything; you decide the fate of your civilization
