PSX - Strike Point Box Art FrontPSX - Strike Point Box Art Back

The terrorist organization named Hex has placed deadly ShockWave devices worldwide. If triggered, they will cause total destruction of the ecosystem. You must lead the newly formed StrikePoint helicopter team against the forces of Hex, destroying their strongholds and defusing their tectonic threats. The game contains 10 global hotspots that you can attempt in any order you choose. Each hotspot contains its own set of missions. Some of the missions you will be sent on will involve destruction of enemy aircraft and artillery, ambushing and elimination of enemy convoys, rescuing of ally scientists, and most importantly collecting and defusing all untriggered ShockWave devices. You can choose to fly one of three different types of helicopters to accomplish your goals.

Additional Information

A terrorist organization by the name of Hex is threatening the peace and prosperity of the world. If their demands are not met or they are not stopped, their Shockwave devices are armed and ready to go. Once detonated, they will reduce the world to utter chaos -- massive floods, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions will be the result.

So, who's going to stop them? You are, as the leader of the StrikePoint Team. By taking to the skies and launching an all-out air assault on Hex, your only mission is to destroy their existence and world-destroying plans. You've got a lot of weight riding on your shoulders, better not let the world down.

In StrikePoint, you will pilot one of three different helicopters, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Where one sacrifices maneuverability for the sake of shields and firepower, the other is stealthy and fast without a lot of weaponry. The other is a middle-of-the-road chopper that is balanced in every category.

Played from various 3D perspectives (first-person, third-person), there is a multitude of missions to complete. For the most part, your objective will be to destroy any and all enemy resistance. Sometimes, your target will be a specific building or a search and rescue mission (captured allied intelligence). Your mission will not be easy as you are met with considerable resistance. Enemies come from both air and ground and you will have to deal with them accordingly.

StrikePoint also comes equipped with a two-player feature where you and a friend can play a cooperative game against the computer or duke it out with each other in a combat mode.

  • Pilot one of three attack helicopters

  • Travel the world to complete multiple missions, from rescue attempts to ambushes

  • Includes both cooperative and competitive play with a friend
