Additional Information

In Star Trek The Next Generation you begin as a cadet at the Starfleet Academy. Your training consists of holodeck simulations of hypothetical missions in which you are the captain. As luck would have it, your ship is the Enterprise and your subordinates are its very competent crew: Lt. Com. Data, Lt. Worf, Lt. Com. LaForge, Chief O'Brien, and Com. Riker. By ordering your bridge officers you control many aspects of ship's activities such as course, speed, shields, weapons, repairs and transporters. As captain you also control the flight yoke, which will turn the Enterprise in four directions; and the weapons, both phasers and photon torpedoes.

Your training is divided into a variety of progressively more challenging missions. In varying combinations you must lead the Enterprise through battles, orbits, rescues, hostile agents and friendly agents to complete a given mission. However, a Starfleet captain must also respect the lives of their crew and the Prime Directive.
Star Trek The Next Generation features Captain Picard as your holodeck professor and a password saving mechanism.
