The situation looks pretty bleak for the Rolling Thunder Team. While agents Albatross and Leila are on assignment tracking down Gimdo, there are reports of recent Geldra terrorist activity on U.S. shores. The creature behind this threat is Dread, believed to be second-in-command of Geldra, who was last seen near a Southern Californian oil refinery.
Only one man is available for the job: 35-year-old Jay, a.k.a. JC-KAL. He is the last hope for defeating Geldra's forces! The 12-Meg Rolling Thunder 3 has you playing the role of Jay as you make your way through ten levels of shooting action. For those new to the series, gameplay involves carefully shooting hostile threats with your pistol.
Duck, seek cover behind crates, or jump away from enemy gunfire as you progress through the stages. While you only have forty bullets, ammo can be replenished by entering specially marked doors, and you always have a knife for close-range slashing. Players can also find an additional weapon to use, typically found behind doors marked "special," which replaces your knife until you run out of ammo.
Fans of the series will notice several new additions, including the ability to shoot at an angle, vehicle stages that have you riding either a motorcycle or jet-ski, and the choice of nine weapons before beginning a stage: full-auto machine gun, bazooka, grenade, shotgun, cannon, flash, laser, flame-thrower or crackers. Rolling Thunder 3 also offers password support, cinema-style cut-scenes, adjustable lives (one to three) and multiple difficulty settings.Controls: Gamepad/Joystick
