Gameplay takes place on a horizontally scrolling field with small players. When a player receives the ball, the action zooms in for a more detailed view. There are several options to configure, such as weather, penalties and game times, and a Dream Team mode in which you can create your own team. You can challenge the computer or a friend in a single Exhibition match or 16-game League play. You can also team up with a friend and take on the computer.
Other features include passwords for saving progress, more than 50 plays, grass and artificial turf fields, audibles, a Kick Meter, three difficulty levels and instant replay.
