In the spirit of its home computer forebears, the Game Boy version of The Chessmaster aims to provide an engaging, enlightening chess challenge to players of all experience and skill levels. As in the top-selling chess games for Commodore, Apple, and PC computers, Game Boy players can choose from multiple modes and adjust several options to create a custom experience. There are 16 difficulty settings available, ranging from "Newcomer" to "Grandmaster." "Replay" options allow players to take back moves they've made and try different strategies. A "Teaching" mode shows players all the possible moves on the board, helping them to recognize possibilities and dangers. A password system allows players to save their games. | Learn to play or hone your skills
