The Union Aerospace Corporation has been experimenting with teleportation technology on Mars' moons Phobos and Deimos. After early successes, something goes wrong. It seems the scientists have opened a gateway straight to Hell. Phobos base is overrun with demonic creatures, and the whole of Deimos simply vanishes. A squad of marines is sent to Phobos, but all except one are quickly slaughtered. It falls to the surviving marine to grab some guns and strike back at the demons.

Additional Information

A lone space marine battles an onslaught of demonic creatures in this Super NES version of the computer classic, Doom. Use your fists or equip one of seven weapons, from a pistol and shotgun to a chainsaw and rocket launcher, to battle groups of imps, zombies, and other hell spawn. Ride elevators, throw switches, and collect keycards to advance through 22 levels, each adapted from the computer game. Unlike the 1993 original, Doom for Super NES lacks a save feature and cooperative play. Four-player deathmatches are supported, however, locally via split-screen display and online through the Xband modem and network.

  • Features 22 levels adapted from the original computer game

  • Challenge friends to four-player deathmatches via split-screen display

  • Use one of eight weapons to battle demons and other creatures
