Additional Information

Konami and ESPN reunite for the second basketball game in the NBA 2Night series. Players have been updated with facial mapping technology, 30 signature dunks, more realistic body types, and abilities based on the 2001-2002 NBA season. Along with a complete lineup of NBA teams and stadiums, the game features commentary and analysis from television broadcasters Stuart Scott and Brent Musberger.

Offensive moves include buttons for shot fakes, alley-oop passes, protective dribbles, speed bursts, drives to the basket, screen calling, and shakes to elude defenders. Defensive moves feature buttons for steals, blocks, calling an intentional foul, and face ups to prevent players with the ball from getting by. Five modes of play include Exhibition, Quick Start, Season, Playoffs, and Franchise.

Franchise mode has players engineering trades, drafting rookies, signing free agents, and more as a team competes for up to 25 consecutive years. Each team has a cap of 1000 points to acquire players, with points being freed for either releasing or trading players. Five difficulty levels, optional home court advantage, individual toggles for stamina and injuries, and adjustable quarter lengths are some of the options players have under their control.

Visual adjustments include three levels of ball motion blur and ten different camera angles with zoom levels ranging from one to 100. Multiple coaching strategies, in-game substitutions, and the ability to create players with over 50 different attributes are also available in this basketball title. As is the case with most sports games, season statistics, franchise progress, options, and roster changes can all be saved before turning off the console.
