The time traveling tournament fighters are back! The original eight characters from the popular arcade hit return, along with six new characters hand-picked from several different eras and locations all through time. But a new boss awaits the victor... who or what is behind this new tournament? You'll have to get to him to find out! This sequel features all-new stages and music, and improved animation and graphics. You can now reflect projectile moves at your opponent, and reverse normal throws if your timing is right! The original game's Death Match mode is also back, but with a new feature - the life bar will increase or decrease as you inflict or receive damage. Get your side's life bar to 100% and your enemy will lose.

Additional Information

The sequel to the Street Fighter II-inspired World Heroes adds six colorful characters to the roster, bringing the total to 14, and some twists to the original game's three-button fighting scheme. As in the original title, characters are inspired by historical figures of different eras and countries. New fighters include Captain Kidd, whose special moves take the form of surging sharks; Johnny Maximum, a bruising American football player who literally punts away his rivals; and Erik, a Viking who uses Thor's hammer to flatten foes. While the action is structured similarly to its predecessor, offering both tournament and death match styles of play, World Heroes 2 incorporates a few significant changes. Characters can now initiate reversals, deflect projectiles back at rivals, and optionally share one tug-of-war-style life bar with their opponent.

  • Play as six new fighters: Captain Kidd, Erik, Johnny Maximum, Mudman, Ryoko, and Shura

  • Share one life bar with your opponent and string together attacks to win the tug-of-war battle

  • Initiate new moves such as reversals and deflections

  • Choose from three game speeds and eight difficulty levels

    Controls: Gamepad/Joystick
