Zeke and Julie were at the library, rummaging through an old treasure chest, when they ran across an ancient spirit book. After the kids read just one secret chant contained therein, the room began to shake and a snaggle-toothed spirit emerged from the book. This phantom freak and his minions set out to infest Metropolis and its books, and change history forever.

In Ghoul Patrol you can play as either Zeke or Julie, both of whom can kill ghouls with the best of them. To help you battle evil, you will run across several weapons throughout the game: a crossbow, a machine gun, a homing plasma gun, a laser gun, and a lobbing smash gun. In addition to killing the undead, you must also rescue the innocent. Each of the five levels of play demands that you save ten victims from certain death. The action takes place in Metropolis, in China during the height of the Ming Dynasty, in the Caribbean, in Medieval World, and in Ghosts and Demon World.

Most of the action in the game consists of running around shooting skeletons, zombies, levitating monks, ghosts, teenager-eating plants, and other ghoulish fiends. You must also jump over obstacles such as boneyard lava pits and spike-filled floor panels, and find keys for opening doors. In the last level you can drink a potion that will turn you into the Grim Reaper!

de-spook an encyclopaedia of zombified historic dudes.
Vaporise garbage can ghosts and ninja spirits, rescue
bug-eyed librarians and wigged-out pirates, dodge flying
books and adolescent-eating plants, and ultimately put
the beastly spirit back in the history books!
