Looney Tunes Racing is a go-kart racing game starring eight characters from Warner Bros.' classic animated franchise. There are 16 tracks to race in four modes of play: Championship, Single Race, Multi-Player, and the ACME Challenge, where artwork, additional characters, and secrets can be unlocked. Power-ups and gags are located throughout every race as the characters attempt to impede each other's progress. All of the characters also have custom karts and speak individual phrases.
While on the racetrack, you can collect coins that let you use power-ups to slow down other racers. Collecting one coin will allow you to shoot chickens. Two coins offer bomb-dropping power and three coins let you unleash a thundercloud. Four coins provide a heat-seeking chicken, collecting five gives an anvil, and finding six coins delivers an invincible power-up that lasts for a short period of time.
The Championship mode is composed of three difficulty levels, each containing a series of tracks. The Rascal Championship contains four tracks, the Stinker Championship has five, and Despicable consists of six. Because of the different challenge settings, each Championship circuit is designed to be harder than the previous. Once a Championship is won, new characters and secret levels are unlocked.
Multi-Player modes include two-player Versus, Battle, and Wacky. Battle involves tagging the opponent a certain number of times using chickens, bombs, or anvils. The tag number is specified before the round starts. Wacky is a combination of Versus and Battle in that one must cross the finish line first or hit the other player's car three times -- the mission changes between levels.
The ACME Challenge spans three floors of 15 challenges (five per floor). After completing a series of challenges, you'll need to race against boss characters such as Porky Pig in order to advance to the next floor. Completing challenges with silver or gold medals will unlock secrets and extra bonuses. | Select from such characters as Bugs Bunny, Marvin the Martian, Lola Bunny, and Taz
