Game Information

Devil Summoner Raidou Kuzunoha is back on the case in this action RPG sequel. While Kuzunoha may look like your average gumshoe, he's anything but. When Japan's capital is threatened, Kuzunoha and his demon-summoning powers are called into action. Crack a new case load in stylish 1920s Japan. You've got more than double the number of demons to negotiate with. Win them over to harness their abilities, then fuse them to increase their powers or control two at a time to create more tactical combat options. Combat is even better than ever, with new battle mechanics and a retooled Weapons Alchemy system that lets you create swords to deliver special attacks.

Additional Information

Atlus continues to meld noir with bizarre in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2, an action RPG that once again finds the demon-wielding detective Raidou Kuzunoha solving crimes in 1920s Tokyo. The story begins when a woman named Akane Narita walks into the Narumi Detective Agency looking for help tracking down a man named Dahn, but what originally seems like a simple case soon finds Kuzunoha mixed up with crooked gamblers, ninjas, odd insects, and the mysterious King Abaddon.

Devil Summoner 2 includes more than twice as many demons as its predecessor, but just as in the original, gamers must build relationships with the demons in order to persuade them to join Kuzunoha's side. Demon fusion and skill transfers return, allowing gamers to create more powerful hybrid demons, and battles once again take place in real time. Players have new options, including a new balancing system, dodge and hide maneuvers, and the ability to control two demons in a single battle, and there are now more than 500 character possibilities, thanks to ten available races, two genders, three alignments, and 15 majors.

  • Solve mysterious and bizarre crimes in a fantasy re-creation of Tokyo in the 1920s

  • Twice as many potential demons as the original Devil Summoner

  • Create custom parties thanks to more than 500 character creation possibilities

    Controls: Gamepad/Joystick
