| A sequel to the arcade's Hunchback (also published for C64 by Ocean), Super Hunchback for Game Boy is a side-scrolling platform game featuring stylized, cartoonish characters and scenes inspired by the Victor Hugo novel. Players control Super Hunchback, a Quasimodo-like creature who can run and leap with great strength and agility. The goal of the game is to rescue the fair Esmerelda, who has been kidnapped by the villain Halfenpounder and taken away to his castle. Super Hunchback must find and ring the bell hidden in each area to advance to the next. Players must continue to advance quickly, as a fuse burning across the bottom of the screen represents the time remaining in each area. If Super Hunchback fails to reach the hidden bell before time expires, a giant bell falls from above, costing him a life. Play proceeds through levels set in a forest, a moat, a dungeon, and in the castle of Halfenpounder himself. | Side-scrolling platform action? Say, that rings a bell....
